Why Catalyst?

I think I'll write a quick reason why I chose the name Catalyst for my blog. See, a catalyst is something used in chemistry to excelerate a reaction without being used up. That's what I am in the lives of other people.

Through my actions, bad things have happened in other peoples lives, leaving me relatively unscathed. After I've done my part I can walk away with no contrast to my life before it while major events happen in another persons life.

Granted it's only happened a hand full of times but still far more than usual for a single person. I'm not a bad person. I chose the word "catalyst" rather than "instigator" because I honestly only mean to do good things. I haven't attempted to make another persons life harder. It's just a by-product of my presence.
