Paralisis.

So at this point I'm getting worried. I just had an emergency appointment with my neurologist because my second foot dropped two days ago. That means that both of my feet are now paralyzed. He did a very thorough examination and found out that not only are my feet paralyzed, I'm losing more muscles that make up the full length of my legs. He can't tell me what mobility I'll have because it's a weird set of muscles. Not only that, I found out today that I barely have 50% of my muscle strength in my arms. My ARMS! That means that possibly in a few weeks (or even days) I won't be able to lift up my arms because the biceps are getting weaker the fastest.

The worst part is that my neurologist has no idea what's wrong with me. None of my symptoms fit any one particular disease. I'm getting an MRI in a few days and an EMG in a few weeks and today they took 7 viles of my blood to test for pretty much everything.

Oh, and apparently my bladder functions are a high likely hood of going paralyzed as well before they can figure out what's killing my nerve function. Yay me.

My 'Handy' Work.

I love this new scanner I got. Here is a picture of my hand that I drew one day in my notebook in an hour of boredom. Well, drawing is never boring but before I started drawing I was bored and thus the drawing cured me of it. Anyway, I wish I hadn't done it in a note book because of the lines but meh. I'mma post it on here anyway.

The first comic!

The website is on the comic because we have boughten the domain name but don't bother trying it for a while.

The rest of these will be readable when the site is up.

I finished one!

Sweet jebus, I finished a comic!!! Since grade 9 I've made 4 or more attempts at a webcomic and this is the first time I actually finished an entire comic. If I get 5 more comics done shortly, I'll be able to get a website to put them on. Fame and fortune awaits me for sure!

I'm going to post the first one on here so you all can see it. And if you hate it, piss off. Don't tell me. :P. But I have to give the whole series a title first which will end up on the comic so if anyone has any ideas go ahead and suggest them. The comic is about mostly computer/console games and movies and uh... other stuff that lame computer nerds do.

Webcomic

Okay, I still don't have a comic done despite the fact that I told myself for sure that I'd have it done today.

The problem is that I want to have a proffessional looking webcomic on the very first try. Yes, other sites go through a stage of amaturism while the illistrator develops a style for his comic. But I want mine to be extra special and good looking.

I've drawn out the first comic 3 times now on paper. The one I just finished is perfect (except speech bubbles which I will add in on the computer). I've already scanned it into the computer and redrawn over all the lines in photoshop and tried to fill it in. It looked like crap.

So now I'm going to try a new technique of inking the paper before scanning it so that they'll have dark hard lines on the computer and I can color it in like a coloring book. But I don't have ink or really any of the supplies that are needed for it.

So here I am, wishing I had the materials to finish this now. If I go to bed then I'll wake up and the stores will be open so I can buy the materials. But how can I sleep when I'm so close to being done?!

I see faces....

This webcomic is coming along far slower than I had planned. I had hoped to have a website with at least 4 comics already on it by now and so far I haven't created one. It's the faces!

Yes, the faces are driving me mad. I can't get them right. I can draw faces just fine but I need ones that will be memorable. Ones that will be easy to draw but can portray a wide range of emotions. They have to be perfect.

My room mate suggested something fairly obvious (but something I still hadn't thought of) and that was drawing the rest of the comic including the characters bodies but leaving the faces out and doing them last. Gasp! What an idea. Then when I have the faces decided, I can just add them in later quickly. But it's hard to get things goin' without them, let me tell you. Back to the drawing board.

Cowboy Boots? Blegh.

Okay, last post about my foot for a while. Just lettin' yah all know what's going on. Saw the neurologist today. He's almost certain that the problem with my foot is that the main nerve in my leg is being squeezed. Now I get 6 weeks off from work from today (7 weeks off in total) for it to heal and if it's not healed by then I will need surgury to fix it. Assuming that is the correct problem of course.

So I have a cane for possibly the next 6 weeks but I don't technically need to have one. No, my doctor actually gave me a suggestion to replace the cane. Cowboy boots. Weird prescription but he says that with cowboy boots, my foot may be held at a 90 degree angle. I looked into them. 100 bucks and up. Blegh. So right now I'll stick with the... stick. Won't mean I won't keep my eye open though.

Born to mini golf!

Yes, the gift of mini golf has decended upon my soul... or something. My brother and I went mini golfing yesterday and I got my first ever mini-golf hole in one!

Yes, holes in one in mini golf are hardly worth a blog entry as most people have experienced them. But they used a putter to do it!

Ever try hobling around a mini golf course with a cane, a coat, a bag and a putter and having to set them all down before each hole. Well after 3 holes of cumbersome effort, I found the solution.

I used my cane! Yes, I tossed away the putter and began flipping my cane over and using it. It was almost the identical size to the putter and worked even better.

This could be the start of a new career for me. Like Happy Gilmore used a hockey stick to put. I use a cane. My millions await me for sure.

Too good to last.

Yes, another post about my feet. Trust me, I have other stuff to write about. I just feel like talking about my feet some more first.

The painless paralysis actually seemed like a blessing to what I feel right now. The paralysis continues but the painlessness is gone. Both of my feet (the good and the bad) were confronted by seriously painful pins and needles. Sort of like my feet are asleep but having nightmares at the same time. Now the toes are a major dull ache and the tops of both my feet are numb. And still one of my feet is completely mobile while the other lies still.

I guess I'll go put my feet up on the couch and hope that it goes away. I hate the hospital and if this sort of thing continues, I have to go back there. Apparently new symptoms are a big deal to doctors. Pfft.

No more complaining and orange slurpees.

Well, I've been put on short term disability so there really ain't much point in complaining about the whole thing. I'm not allowed to drive though so that sort of sucks.

But on the plus side, it's the middle of the week and I'm getting paid to watch cartoon shows on the TV. It's sort of boring since I really love my job. I mean, how many people can say they are ultrasonic technitions? Ah well, I think I'm going to use my new found freedom wisely. I'm hobbling my way down to 7-11 for a slurpee.

I have to take advantage of the orange slurpees being sold there before they replace it something else. I always got all the flavors there to make swirly psychodelic looking slurpees but really I only enjoy the orange portions of the mix. So I've finally broken down and starting buying only the orange flavor. Let me tell you, it's changed my life.

Seriously?

Okay, I'm not going to make every post about my stupid foot but since I really hate complaining to people about the damn thing, this place is my outlet so here is another one.

Ever had someone give you a present? And then had that same person take away your present just after you were starting to get excited and then for kicks took away your shoes?!

Okay, that might not have made sense to some of you so let me tell you what happened:

MY FOOT GOT FIXED! Yes, I was hobbling about with my foot dragging on the floor behind my cane when all of a sudden POOF my foot lifted off the ground and I did two normal steps. I was so excited. I started flexing it up and down to show that it really worked.

I then began slapping both my feet against the ground as I went up on both heals and then rest. Up-slap. Up-slap. Up-nothing.

As fast as it came, it left again. Why does that make me so pissed? Paradise lost? No, because now it's worse than before. I have even less movement and I've lost complete movement in all toes but two now. This is seriously starting to grow tiring.
