Webcomicery!

In an ever lasting attempt to make this silly website better I've been experimenting a little with the comics. I'm sure no one has actually noticed anything but I'm hoping that each experiment actually makes the art of the comic a little better.

I started putting shading on the characters in the first comic but they were very smooth and quickly done.

In the second comic I attempted to make it a little more realistic by having it less smooth. The results are horendous.

In the 3rd comic I went back to the smooth shadows but I attempted it again in the 4th comic.

Yes, the 4th comic I put a little more thought into the shadows so that it would represent wrinkles in the shirt.

The 5th comic was simply trying to get better at anticipating the shirt wrinkles (though I don't think I did a great job).

But the 7th comic! (I'm counting my alien thing as the 6th but I drew that a month ago). The 7th comic I tried a little more with the shirt wrinkle shading but I added a whole new dimension. I added high lights to the clothes and hair on the side opposite the shadows. That's right, now the character has base colors, shadows and highlights!

I'm hoping you all like the way it looks. It's a little sketchy right now as I try to steady my hand while coloring those in but I rather like the way it looks compared to the other comics.

Oh, and I switched the shadows now to the right side because for some reason high lights don't look as good on the left.
