Websites up!

And thank you Morgan for finding the first of many mistakes I have on the page. Hehe, apparently in the characters page under "Craigs" profile is says "any" where it should say "at". I honestly didn't read 'em. Pip wrote them up. I'll fix it later.

But the site is up which is very exciting. The official blogs aren't but they are still being worked on. I grabbed a very nice blog script off the net and got it installed but it's not really for begginners. Infact it was rated "expert" on the site I downloaded it from. But then again, so was the forum and I was able to monkey my way to a decent one.

So I hope you all like it and as usual there'll be a new comic on tuesday.

Oh! And I know that on the front page that the body sort of pivots one pixel to the side. It's an issue with the archiving code. In firefox it pivots one to the left and in explorer it pivots one to the right. It's the closest I could get it to perfect.

I think I'll reward myself with a pumpkin spice latte now from starbucks.

actually it is because your header image is one pixel wider than the other images. trim one row of pixels from the left side and it should look fine.

You're right... sort of. The top image and the image next to the "home" button are both one pixel longer than they need to be. In Internet Explorer it shifts the side over by 2 pixels and doesn't in Firefox. I thought I would even them both out a little by having them each shift it by one pixel. Open the page in internet explorer and scroll to the bottom of the page and you'll see that it shifts a pixel there.

that is because you are using the body tag two times and also the first time it isn't closed.

you also have html tags used outside of the html tags. at the start of the page and at the end. there are a lot of redundent tags also on the page that don't need to be there.

Didn't I say something about me trying to fumble my way through this? I do appreciate the help though. I'd rather you posted as something other than "anonymous" though...

Holy moly! I closed the first one (just put /body at the end of the file) and used the images that are the regular size (not the 1 pixel extra ones) and it worked in firefox. But now if you open the site in explorer the middle of the site sticks out weird.

Wait, I'm dumb. That's what I had before. The body tag doesn't do anything to it. Not in my web browsers anyway. I mean, they do stuff just they don't "wreck" stuff. So yeah it looks good in firefox but ascew in explorer.

i don't have a blogger account so i can't use that.

you still have the top images and the bottom images out side the html tags. you need to put that stuff inside the html tags.

I don't know mans (Joe???) It's still not working. I think I have it all within' them HTML tags now...

joe? it looks like it works fine now in internet explorer 7. body tags to make a difference. it may not seem like it makes a difference to you, but it does to a web browser. the only thing i can suggest right now is to put the bottom image inside the body tag that it is currently outside of.

Yeah, my guess as to who you are was my friend Joe... who I should really call since I have his mail and we haven't hung out in FOREVER! That rotter. Anyway, who are you? And I'll try the body thing. :D

Hehe, I know they make a difference. I just mean for me after I 'fixed' that, it still looked off. Still does but if it works in explorer 7 then I'm happy. I use firefox anyway and it looks perfect so I'll just go with that.
